Favorites of 2010

I have decided to share some of favorite things of 2010.  This is partially because it is a new year, and partially because it is the name of my blog.  I will try to avoid including things such as raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, and brown paper packages tied up with string, and try to focus more on the things that pertain to 2010.

Some Favorite Movies:

1.  Inception – it took many tries to see this movie – including issues such as movies being sold out, a new friend buying her ticket and going in before we arrived and then us not being able to get tickets anymore and so she was forced to watch it alone (but clearly with a lot of others around her).  Third times a charm though – it was worth the wait.  And worth the confusion in my mind.

2. Toy Story 3 (the Canadian version)  I laughed.  I cried.  I gasped in alarm.  It was phenomenal.

3. Life as We Know It I did not anticipate the sad, yet uplifting feelings the first time I saw it.  I didn’t anticipate it being so good that it would mess with my emotions.

4. Easy A * this one I considered not including, but in the end I couldn’t say no.

Some favorite music:

1. Mumford and Sons

  1. 1. I can’t believe you still haven’t seen IAWL. As a friend, I can’t let you wait too much longer. Next year, we are watching it together on the first day of Christmas season. Mark your calendar right now.

    2. I’m sad that our homemade oreos didn’t make your favorite baking list. Can they be #5?

    3. I love your favorite picture taken. Could you email me a copy?

    • 1. I know – it is really tragic, but I don’t focus well on movies alone, and I didn’t want to watch it distracted. So I need a friend. I will mark my calendar right now. (question – when is the first day of the Christmas season in your book?)
      2. I can’t believe I forgot about our fun. editing now.
      3. yes.

  2. Sigh. This just made me really happy. And maybe a little sad as I looked back on all of the Canada blogs and pictures and remembering how much fun that trip was. And how much fun I have traveling with you. Let’s take another trip.

Rain delay game was so fun (“All by myself…”)

    And so was SYTYCD.

I’m awfully glad we were spinster sisters in 2010. Though I was also be equally glad you’re my sister in future years if (when) one (both) of us lose the spinster portion 🙂
